Stephen Colbert Asks Cartoon Donald Trump About His New York Primary Win on The Late Show

Stephen Colbert - Cartoon Donald Trump

Stephen Colbert has featured Cartoon Donald Trump as a guest on The Late Show a couple different times now, but the Republican presidential frontrunner has never seemed as happy on the late night show as he was last night. Cartoon Trump was still filled with energy from his commanding win in Tuesday’s New York primary, and he showed how excited he was before Colbert could even ask him a question.

“Hello, New York!” Cartoon Trump shouted at the beginning of the interview. “Bow before me! You’ve made me your emperor.” Those words were followed by lots of cheering and even a dance from Trump, who encouraged Colbert to join him, telling the Late Show host “shake it, don’t break it, it took your mother nine months to make it.”

But when Cartoon Trump finished celebrating his victory in New York, Colbert was finally able to ask him about his campaign moving forward, specifically about his plans for the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. As Colbert stated, Trump wants to bring “a touch of showbiz” to the convention. So what exactly does that mean?

“Democracy is a snoozefest,” Cartoon Trump said. “You gotta snazz it up, and I got glitz and glamour coming out of my razzmatazz hole.”

“I’m sorry,” Colbert said, holding back laughter. “Your what?”

“It’s near the rectum,” Cartoon Trump explained. “It’s rectum adjacent.”

And if you’re sick of Donald Trump, even in his cartoon form, don’t worry. Colbert also got a little serious last night on The Late Show when he celebrated the announcement of Harriet Tubman’s $20 bill. However, even though Colbert was clearly happy about the news, that didn’t stop him from cracking a couple of jokes about the wage gap, saying that the $20 bill will now be worth $17, and how it might get a little awkward when the Tubman on your $20 bill runs into the slave owners, such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, that are on the other bills you carry.
