As any network tries to buddy buddy up to Marvel as much as Netflix, ABC’s Marvel show Inhumans is in major cast mode right now. EW reports that Serinda Swan as Medusa. I have to say this is a very solid choice. While we haven’t seen Serinda in any huge roles yet, this could be a solid break for her. Also, for the record I’m not saying that Serinda even looks remotely like the actual Medusa but this photo above is perfect. She’s got those sinister eyes that when you add snakes to her scalp, the look will be lethal.
“Serinda empowers Medusa’s regal glory and still maintains a relatability that synced perfectly with the character,” Marvel TV head and executive producer Jeph Loeb says. “She is nothing short of wonderful.” Adds showrunner Scott Buck: “Serinda Swan brings a regal elegance, as well as a sense of great inner strength and fierce determination, to the role of Medusa. I couldn’t be happier to have her as our Queen of Attilan.”
Swan is best known for her work in Graceland. She’ll join a cast that already includes Anson Mount as Black Bolt and Iwan Rheon as Maximus. Shooting begins soon in Hawaii and the cast is just about rounded out. We’ll keep you posted as production begins and pictures start coming out.
