A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 is Teased Rather Cryptically By Netflix

Fans who weren’t sure about a season 2 of the Neflix show A Serious of Unfortunate Events starting Neil Patrick Harris got their answer Monday when the media giant released a rather cryptic promo video.   Those who follow the show enjoy the story of the three Baudelaire orphans and their nefarious, inheritance-hungry relative, Count Olaf (played by Patrick Harris).

The announcement of the show came by way of the narrator (Patrick Warburton) who continues on his quest to warn viewers that they should look away, and pay no mind to the unfortunate events that plague Violet, Klaus and Sonny as they continue their search for the truth regarding the untimely demise of their parents. Check out the trailer below:

As far as this teaser being cryptic, look at it closely. Some of the words in the message are yellow instead of white. When you string them all together, the decoded script reads, www.VastlyFrighteningDecision.com. Upon visiting the site, you’ll find a message from Lemony Snicket himself, informing fans that the series was so unfortunate that the cast and crew couldn’t bring them to film another episode.

Which obviously isn’t the case but that’s exactly the show’s style. The Netflix hit has developed a devoted following that stands to grow should season 2 match up to the first one. Guess we’ll have to see.
