Saved by the Bell has become a cultural icon. The Saturday-morning live action series aired on NBC for four years from 1989-1993 and started the careers of Mario Lopez, Tiffani Thiessen, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. The series even spawned two spin-offs, one of which lasting year longer than the original. Since Saved by the Bell continues to find new fans every day, it is no surprise that one can find hilarious memes depicting some of our most iconic Bayside moments. Check out a few of our favorites below.
Could this statement be any more accurate? Saved by the Bell fans cannot stand the season 4 episodes when Tori Scott appears. She could never hold a candle to the lovely Kelly Kapowski and Jessie Spano. Usually when I am flipping through the channels and see a Tori episode of Saved by the Bell, I keep on moving. I guess that leather jacket is just too intimidating.
There is probably not a day that goes by where Elizabeth Berkley is not reminded about this fan-favorite Saved by the Bell episode. Fans can search for tons of memes where Jessie wants to “get excited”, but we at TV Overmind can’t help but love this version the most. Who knew abusing caffeine pills could have such long lasting side effects?
Zack Morris always had a way with the ladies. He even got with tomboy Tori in the later seasons of Saved by the Bell. This meme perfectly describes the King of Bayside High. Even though this show was pretty tame (after all, it did air Saturday mornings), we can’t help but wonder how he did not get anyone pregnant.
When you were watching episodes of Saved by the Bell, weren’t you jealous that Zack Morris had a cell phone? Flash forward over 25 years later and we have this classic meme. In this episode we know the “shirt” in question is on the phone so Zack can mask his voice for one of his schemes. However, we can still find humor in knowing the cell phones from the 90’s were really, really big.
Not sure if Slater was known most for his insults (or sitting in a seat backwards), but we are still digging this meme. A.C. Slater may have had to play second fiddle to the awesomeness that is Zack Morris, but that never stopped him from having his own special meme. He did do a pretty good job joking with his feminist on-again, off-again girlfriend Jessie Spano.
