Five seconds into the second part of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion, I was officially over the Camille vs. Kyle debacle. Yes, I know I said I would hold all judgement till after watching the second installment of the reunion, but literally as the show began last night I got a headache as soon as Andy Cohen continued talking about the feud. We all know that Camille is pretty hard to root for when it comes to this issue, so excuse me for begging for them to just drop it and move on to the other stuff at hand. For example, the fact that Cedric is an ungrateful person.
But first, let’s discuss the reason why we got an extra 15 minutes on this edition rather than last week. The extra chunk in time was mostly devoted to the craziness that was the “Dinner Party From Hell” episode and the revolting behavior of Allison DuBois. Everyone knows that Allison was so wrong in that episode that there is no way she could be right in the public’s eyes again, so what else could’ve come out of this conversation than what we already knew? Nothing really. The audience knew Lisa was pissed about the whole ordeal, the audience knew Kyle prodded the bull by demanding reading and got a horn in her ass for doing so, and the audience concluded that Camille knew what the hell she was doing despite claims of not being aware of the possible catastrophic consequences of her actions.
The one only thing of note America actually didn’t know (for a fact anyway) was Camille’s apparent uneasiness of the entire situation, which Lisa vouched for by revealing Camille had actually tried (and succeeded?) to disarm Allison from drinking when things got heated. A case of a plan gone awry? Maybe, but the damage is done. America, unfortunately, won’t forget the events that transpired that evening, which will forever be known as the Beverly Hills Dinner Party Massacre.
With that last bit of Kyle and Camille drama out the way, let’s focus our attention to the other revelations of the night.
First up: Cedric. This man is just… words can’t describe how disgusted I feel about his actions. Cedric acted like a thankless spoiled brat and I can’t help but agree 100% with Lisa and Ken’s assertions about the man they once called a friend. What highly upset me was Bravo giving Cedric a 2-3 minute segment on what he’s doing now since leaving Todd Palace and a chance to spew hate at Lisa for showing him the door. Dude. You were living rent free in a McMansion, got a taste of the high life, and was included in the most exclusive of circles. So no, I do not feel sorry for you one iota. Grow the hell up, Cedric, and stop being a fame whore. Talk about a waste of a good three minutes… Hell, that could have went to an interview with Allison DuBois, which would’ve been even more enlightening than Cedric’s sad excuse for attention. Plus, to find out that Cedric lied about that story he gave Lisa and Kim about his upbringing? Despite me calling the story into suspicion when I first heard it, I’m still speechless knowing I was actually right.
Next up is the subject most people were looking forward to besides the Camille vs. Kyle drama: the ugly fight between the Richards sisters. What can I say? We didn’t get a concrete answer on if Kim really is an alcoholic, but you know what? I’m glad we didn’t, because it really wasn’t our business. While it was heavily implied throughout both parts of the reunion of Kim’s alleged “problem”, the Richard sisters remained mum about the matter, opting not to discuss it. This was one of the moments where I actually wanted Andy to ease up on the questions and give them some sort of privacy on the subject. Luckily he did, because I don’t think discussing would’ve helped the situation better.
As for the drama between Kyle and Kim during the entire season, it amazed me that fans and onlookers wanted to comment on Kyle’s behavior towards Kim now after the limo fight of the finale instead of before. I had seen it then and was not a fan of it, but people tried to justify it throughout the season by suggesting Kim needed to grow up. Boy, how opinions change!
Camille (slyly) pointed out how bad Kyle treated Kim after Andy brought up the question of if Kyle was a bonafide bully. While I didn’t agree with Kyle’s treatment of Kim, I don’t necessarily think she’s a bully. Speaking of which, was it just me or was Kyle baiting Kim to answer “correctly” several times last night? If so, then there are still some issues that need to be kinked out between the two and hopefully they get it done without the cameras in their face 24/7.
Other moments of the night:
– The inclusion of the Real Househusbands who helped remind us that there were actually some fun times during the season. What we learned from them? Camille rehired Mauricio as her realtor, but as far as Kelsey as a client, that’s still up in the air. Paul and Adrienne declared their bickering is the secret ingredient to their marriage, but both admitted to signing a pre-nup before being married. Hm. Ken gave his two cents about Cedric, which made we want to go find Cedric and kick his ass myself. And Russell was just there. Seriously, he didn’t do or offer much.
– Speaking of Russell, we got a segment surrounded by Taylor’s relationship (or lack thereof) with her husband and the strain it’s placing on her. All the women, including Kim surprisingly, gave Taylor some advice on how to deal, but really, the man is just a bore. However, maybe that’s what Taylor wants so she just has to learn to tap into his stoic exterior.
– Andy Cohen touched on Camille’s ‘friendship’ with “Handsome Nick” and her inability to not kiss him on the lips. She claims it’s her Italian roots taking over, but this is America and women don’t subscribe to that mess here. Luckily, Nick is married to someone who allegedly did the same thing with Kelsey, which doesn’t make the situation better on any level.
– Did anyone else catch when Andy all of sudden called Taylor out for starting the fight at her birthday party while talking to Kim and Kyle? Classic “WTF?” moment.
