Even though we were finally introduced to Cynthia Bailey tonight (who is hot by the way) on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, there were only three things going through my mind: 1) What’s the deal with Apollo, Phaedra’s husband, 2) Kim didn’t “thank” Kandi for “Tardy For The Party”?! and 3) the aftermath of the the NeNe vs. Dwight smackdown from last week.
NeNe Problems
It’s week two and the train of problems has not slowed down for NeNe one bit. It’s sad to see the loud, brash catchphrase making lady break down not once, but twice as her comfort zones are being attacked or are, as she put it, “checking out of the game.”
The first set of tears came from her very own flesh and blood son, who can’t grasp that his actions are seriously taking a toll on NeNe. I felt every word that came out of NeNe’s mouth as she directed them to Bryson and concurred with her decision to toss him out for not respecting her and her house. I was thrown aback when after NeNe has tearfully said her peace, Bryson had to utter that he was being smothered by NeNe’s rules. Dude, what the hell? After laying down facts, NeNe gave one of the best lines of the night: “You done lost our damn mind. When you get your damn mind, you call me.” Message delivered. Signed and sealed.
The second tears came from NeNe losing her longtime best friend Dwight Eubanks after he went behind her back and made a deal with Greg. I’m still kinda not clear on who the liar was in this situation, but I am heavily leaning toward both Dwight and Greg as both lying and doing it horribly. My only thing is why would Greg and Dwight go into an investment that would only make them $700 dollars? I don’t know business all that well, but it didn’t seem like a good risk for two people who are allegedly hurting for money. In the end, it seems as if NeNe’s problems are just beginning.
Phaedra’s Husband Was in Jail? Where They Do That At?
Tonight was the introduction of Apollo Nida’s stint in prison to the other ATL Housewives. While I applaud Phaedra’s mantra of helping felons instead of condemning them, she had to have known that hell was heading her way when this reached the rest of the cast. I’m shocked that her mom, who’s a pastor, is okay with this arrangement, but when I mean shocked, I mean surprised and in awe. That’s putting what you preach to work right there in my opinion.
With that being said, I wouldn’t mind wondering how the hell Phaedra and Apollo met. Plus, Phaedra didn’t have to call out her unborn son like that on his in development package. Maybe it’s hereditary? Just saying…
No “Party” for Kandi?
While it wasn’t too much of a shock to hear, I was still blown away that Kim didn’t think for herself to give Kandi something for her help in “Tardy for the Party.” In my personal opinion, that song wouldn’t been what it is without Kandi’s print on it. I think there should be some law out there for such a scenario. I wonder if there actually is and Kim’s lawyer is a snake. Then again… I really fault Kim for not even using her own head to see that giving Kandi some type of compensation was the right thing to do. Now, does it seem as if this has crossed Kim’s mind? Not a chance.
Speaking of which, I wonder if Kim’s inclusion into that White Party performance had anything to do with a possible lack of good talent at the time? From Lady Gaga to Kim Zolciak? Something just doesn’t ring there.
In Other News
Like I said, we met Cynthia Bily tonight and she seems to be this year’s Kandi in that she’s civil with everyone, yet has relationship problems at the same time. Albeit the problems are not as annoying like Kandi’s mother not accepting AJ last year, but they are still issues nonetheless.
Sheree went on a blind date with a doctor that ended up going well, in my personal opinion. While I slick had my nose up alongside Sheree’s when she arrived to the destination, I quickly understood the good doctor’s reasoning once he broke down how down to earth he is. Thankfully, Sheree got this, too.
