Radha Mitchell Remains Very Much Under the Radar

Radha Mitchell has been the kind of actor that doesn’t just fly under the radar, she escapes all forms of scrutiny most times because she does her best to stay off the social grid. It’s not so much an attempt to become unknown by anyone, but instead it’s a manner of living that allows her to circle the wagons on a continual basis and give out only what she wants when she feels the need. Other celebrities have decided not to share their most personal business in a similar way, but Radha has really managed to stay away from a lot of the public mess that so many other celebrities tend to deal with on a regular basis. She doesn’t exactly close herself off from everyone but she does keep to herself a lot when it comes to her most personal moments and doesn’t have the need to broadcast everything she’s doing at any given moment.

On the set she is a professional and does her best to make her roles work, but as some folks have described her, Radha doesn’t exactly conform to the character she plays as much as she makes the character conform to her. In other words she brings more to the character than is originally created, thereby making that character seem a little more believable.

Pitch Black

She’s had a good number of roles, all of which have been demanding in their own right. But some of them, like the role of Carolyn Frye in Pitch Black, have been slightly more demanding. Sc-fi is a little more demanding for some actors any way, but this role had to be a trifle more since a good deal of it had to be CGI and therefore the actors really had to get into character and give genuine emotions when it came to regarding the images they were seeing versus the images that made it onto the screen. Radha has no problem delivering emotion on the screen, but in such a way that you can honestly believe that she is feeling that emotion without any buffers in that moment. This movie was a thrill ride all the way through as it played on the natural fear that humanity has concerning the dark and the unknown, but the actors were quite interesting to watch when it came to their reactions.

Phonebooth

Not a lot of people know about this film since it was kind of there and gone when it came out, capturing the attention of viewers just long enough to see that it might not be worth the money to see. It wasn’t a horrible movie since it does bring up a good lesson in morality and what it takes to get someone to admit to the things they’ve done in their life that could be called questionable or wrong. Radha played a smaller part in this film but it was still one that hit home since she was the spouse of the man in the booth, the woman he’d been cheating on, and he was forced to admit the truth or watch one of them be shot, or be shot himself.

Silent Hill

Silent Hill wasn’t exactly lauded as one of the greatest movies ever made, but it certainly wasn’t the worst. Based on the video game of the same name it was a creepy look into the darkness that is unleashed by humanity and the penance that they’re forced to pay afterward. This kind of touches on a subject that has to do with something that Radha has been asked about and has answered in the past, whether she would ever want children. In the movie her daughter Sharon is adopted, and in real life Radha has said that she would consider adoption at one point, but it would seem as though that point has not been reached yet. For someone that hasn’t had any children however she certainly plays the part of the protective mother rather well. In fact that seems to be the part that she’s been cast in most in recent years.

For the most part Radha Mitchell is a public figure when she needs to be, but when the cameras aren’t rolling and she doesn’t want to be seen then she’s not going to be. She’ll retreat to her solitude where she’s happy and, if she feels like it, will use social media sparingly since she’s not truly into everyone knowing what she thinks about anything. In all honesty it seems as though she’s taken the road that so many celebrities have forgotten exists and has kept herself off of the paparazzi’s radar for as long as she possibly can. She’s not antisocial and she’s not unfriendly, but she is understandably guarded and tends to keep the things she doesn’t want to tell anyone under lock and key.
