Yesterday’s question from Karate Kid III was a big hit so I think that we’re just going to keep on rolling with this. We’re going to take it all the way back to the very beginning of the movie this time. You’ll recall that in the beginning scene to Karate Kid II which is also played at the beginning of Karate Kid III that Daniel just won the All Valley state Karate Championship. John Kreese then proceeds to choke the runner up Johnny Lawrence. Mr. Miyagi decides to intervene and put a stop to the bullying. Here’s the full scene and question below:
At the beginning of the film there is a brief recap of prior events. A particularly memorable scene takes place where John Kreese is choking Johnny Lawrence in the parking lot after losing to you in the All Valley Karate Tournament. After Mr Miyagi intervenes and shows mercy to Mr Kreese, you two walk away from the scene and you suggest to Mr Miyagi, “you could’ve killed him!” He responds, “aye”, to which you puzzlingly ask in turn, “then why didn’t you?”
Was that a serious question, Ralph? Mr Miyagi gave a lame answer to your question, but I won’t: he obviously didn’t murder John Kreese in front of a dozen witnesses in a school parking lot because he didn’t want to spend the next 30 years to life in the state pen.

This is the Karate Kid II not III. Geez!
No, you are wrong. Just because they show a clip from KK 2 in KK 3 doesn’t mean that is where it is from. The whole scene is a key to the end of part two. Would you tell someone the crane kick that won the tournament was from part 3 just because they play a clip of it at the beginning. Just admit your mistake and make the edit.
