It’s very rare that I’ll get inspired by sharks. I love watching sharks. I love being afraid of sharks. And I’ll show a shark video every single chance I get. However when it comes to being inspired by sharks that’s quite rare. Consider me inspired right now. When this pregnant great white shark came across the corpse of a dead humpback whale she had no idea what hit her. It’s like she was the first person in line for a Vegas style buffet and later finds out she’d be the only one on line for the ENTIRE time.
I mean how do you even tackle something like that? That was the last thing on this shark’s mind. She was just thinking “eat, eat, eat.” She spent some 17 hours circling the buffet and grabbing huge bites of it. The conservationist filming the whole thing noted, “She ate so much she was swimming around upside down aimlessly like she was intoxicated.” No follow-up stories have indicated the exact quantity of the whale that she consumed.
However, I think it’s pretty clear this shark and her babies won’t be needing to eat for a while.
