New York based artist Justin Bettman creates photo sets in the streets consisting of second-hand furniture. After making a photograph of the set with actors in it, Bettman leaves the set built on the street for strangers to take their own pictures with using the hashtag #SetintheStreet. Sets have been created in NYC, London, Prague, Berlin, and Moscow.
He created this art project in order to get people to question the perspective. When people look at these cropped in images that are shot on the street, they almost always think they are actually interiors. This idea gets people to recognize that when you’re looking at a smaller piece of a larger picture, you can often be misleading.
