This is a Southeast Alaska salmon seiner with the skiff on deck. Much of Alaska’s salmon is still caught on boats like this one.

A ferry crossing Tongass Narrows with a load of passengers ready for adventure.

The sockeye are running and this little aluminum gillnetter is out to catch its share in a bay full of boats.
Fishing Vessel
This classic fishing boat is working hard with lots of gear in the water – it has hooks, nets, and pots in the water, fishing for multiple species at every depth.
Lobster Boat
A small New England lobster boat in the downeast style, with the skipper measuring the bodies of his catch in order to release the undersized lobster.
Nestor
This is a great ocean liner full of mystery and intrigue.
Gilnetter
This gillnetter is a modern classic: a 32-foot fiberglass Ohima powered by a Caterpillar 3208.
Seiner
It’s a town day, and the crew is going through the net, working in the engine room, and ironing out some issues in the fish hold.

This is a tug with a Fairbanks Morse direct-reversible ten-cylinder opposed piston engine.
