We live in a very turbulent time for politics. With government shut downs happening on a seemingly regular basis and the country divided by parties and broad lines, it seems as though things are crazier than ever before for the White House and its occupants. For one of the women that used to occupy this address for work, Omarosa, there has been a lot of scrutiny and accusation thrown around about the end of her role as an assistant to the President of the United States, Donald Trump. With just a short time in between, the former assistant let the world know what she planned to do now that she didn’t have to go to work in Washington D.C. anymore: she was headed back to reality television.
That is actually how the President and Omarosa came to have such strong ties to one another in the first place, through Trump’s reality television program The Apprentice. While none of her stints on the show would ultimately land her the grand prize (Trump fired her 3 different times), the connection already existed to help boost her career into a new field if the opportunity presented itself. As luck would have it, the former leader of The Apprentice would run for President. While she had spent years as a vocal Democrat, Omarosa would join up with Trump’s campaign in hopes of helping him to be seen in a better light by the African American communities.
Many believed that her involvement in the matter helped to solidify the victory for Trump over a year ago at the tail end of 2016. Her influence would be recognized as Trump moved into the White House, offering her a position to continue her role as a liaison to the African American communities around the country. However, just a short year after Trump was sworn in, Omarosa’s strong personality began to clash with other influential parties sharing the same workspace. In an act that can only be described as political grandstanding to other disgruntled cabinet members and officials in the White House, Omarosa was asked to leave and was released from her duties to the President.
At least, that’s the main story that many news outfits are sharing with the world. They even at times take it a step farther suggesting that she needed to be escorted off the premises. While Omarosa denies that any of this was actually fact, she does make some remarks about the staff and President that she plans to share in vivid detail with the world at a later date in a book.
For now, she has decided that the best thing to do is get back in front of the camera on Celebrity Big Brother that begins airing episodes on the 7th of February. The show will have a slew of well-known names and faces from former UFC champ Chuck Liddell to Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, and should give the opinionated and passionate Omarosa another chance to reach the finals of a long running and successful reality television program.
