On The Next Scandal: “There’s a Traitor Amongst Them”

There were two big stories to come out of ABC’s Scandal this week.   The first one is more serious and involves real life.  35-year-old cast member Katie Lowes revealed that she has an autoimmune disease that’s more common than people thing.  Psoriasis affects over 7.5 million Americans.   “You’re not alone,” she told ABC News of the disease, which is often characterized by often painful and itchy red blotches on the skin. “It’s embarrassing. It’s a chronic disease but it affects everyone differently.”

Lowes, a spokesperson for Janssen Pharmaceutica, was 28 when she was diagnosed and it interrupted an exciting time in her life. “It was the best year of my life, I just booked ‘Scandal,’ I got engaged to my then-boyfriend, now-husband [Adam Shapiro] and I think the stress of that year, planning a wedding and having a high-pressure job, really triggered it,” she said.  As far as the show itself?  Let’s get into the details:

On the last episode Scandal chose the most obvious person to be Frankie’s (Ricardo Chavira) killer. According to Refinery 29

We found out last week that Olivia (Kerry Washington) was being framed for framing Cyrus (it’s all very twisted in Shondaland). Scandal didn’t wait to tell us who was transferring money to Tom under Olivia’s name. It turns out, there’s another secret organization even more powerful than B613 – one that makes Rowan/Eli (Joe Morton) cower in fear.  We learned that Eli killed Frankie. There couldn’t be a more obvious answer. Yes, he was doing it out of fear from the newly revealed secret agency – but it’s still not much of a twist, considering how many deaths he already has on his hands.

So what’s on tap for next week?  Something “as crazy as Huck” according to Scandal’s Twitter page.  Plus Huck actually says, “you are asking me to kill your father.”  Check out a few clips and a hilarious photo below:
