The Acolyte
The Acolyte is the biggest new TV show premiering on Disney+ in June 2024. The upcoming science fiction is created as part of the Star Wars franchise. The action-adventure crime drama was created by Leslye Headland, known for creating the Russian Doll (2019–2022) and Single Drunk Female (2022–2023) TV series. The Acolyte is set in a timeline before the main Star Wars films. The series’ plot occurs at the end of the franchise’s High Republic era.
The Acolyte is scheduled for release on Disney+ on June 4, 2024. The first season will have 8 episodes, with the first two episodes released on the premiere date. Subsequently, the other six episodes will be released weekly. The Acolyte will star Amandla Stenberg, who’ll play twin sisters Osha and Mae, Lee Jung-Jae (as Jedi Master Sol), and Manny Jacinto (as former smuggler Qimir).
Presumed Innocent
Apple TV+ subscribers will have the TV adaptation of Scott Turow’s 1987 novel Presumed Innocent premiere on the streamer in June. Created as a miniseries, Presumed Innocent was adapted for television by David E. Kelley, known for his successful TV shows across all top American TV networks. Fans of the novels will see Jake Gyllenhaal breathe life into the Rusty Sabich character.
Like the novel, Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent centers around a Chicago prosecutor who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of his colleague and the investigation that follows. Although the miniseries will have its premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, Presumed Innocent is scheduled for release on Apple TV+ on June 12, 2024. The miniseries will comprise 8 episodes and also stars Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle, and Elizabeth Marvel.

My Lady Jane
Fans of British television series may want to add Amazon Prime Video’s My Lady Jane series to their watchlist in June. My Lady Jane is scheduled for release on Prime Video on June 27, 2024. The series is set in the 16th century and is a reimagining of events that would lead Lady Jane Grey to avoid the executioner’s ax.
My Lady Jane is adapted from a series of novels written by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows. Although reactions to the trailer have revealed significant differences from the novels, Prime Video’s My Lady Jane takes a unique spin on the novels’ plots. The series will comprise 8 episodes and star Emily Bader as its title character. My Lady Jane TV series also cast Edward Bluemel, Dominic Cooper, Rob Brydon, and Anna Chancellor.
Orphan Black: Echoes
With Orphan Black: Echoes premiering on AMC and AMC+, the franchise can finally get the recognition it deserves. The series was created in the same universe as the original Canadian Orphan Black series but was set in 2052. Orphan Black: Echoes will be led by American actress Krysten Ritter, who will play an amnesiac woman named Lucy and a young Dr. Eleanor Miller. English actress Keeley Hawes will play a supporting role as Dr. Kira Manning. Orphan Black: Echoes is scheduled for release to American audiences on AMC/BBC America on June 23, 2024. The AMC series will comprise 10 episodes.
Land of Women
After a two-year break from acting, Eva Longoria returns to the small screen in Apple TV+’s comedy-drama thriller Land of Women. The series is inspired by Sandra Barneda’s bestselling novel. Land of Women is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+ on June 26, 2024. The series follows Gala (Eva Longoria), her mother, and her daughter as they are forced to flee to Spain in the wake of Gala’s husband’s disappearance.
