Why The New “Roseanne” Is Better Than The Old “Roseanne”

The era of reboots in our society is in full force, and is allowing fans and audiences everywhere to relive the “good ‘ole days”, to say the least. We are in hard time right now, but with the hopeful light that is the reimagining and returns of some of the most classic entertainment throughout the past few decades, it is helping to relieve the troubles of the world. One of these classics that has made an outstanding comeback is the hit series “Roseanne”, which has now been picked up for an ’11th’ season (second season, if you’re a newbie). With the return of this iconic show, many old fans are seeing many differences from the other 9 seasons that aired back in the day, and honestly, we think the reboot is much better. In this article, we are going to give some examples as to why the comeback of ‘Roseanne’ is so much greater this time around, and if it will continue on its streak. Let’s get started.

The Conners Are So Relatable

Not only that, but the topics that are discussed and brought up this time around in the series, whether subtly or as the major focus of the episode, are issues that are so relevant to viewers all over the globe. The show isn’t afraid to talk about topics that are somewhat taboo or controversial, like allowing your son to explore himself by wearing skirts and painting his nails, or by addressing healthcare and politics with subtle nuances and wisecracks. Either way, it almost allows for the audience to sigh a breath of relief and laugh about the things in our life today that just make us want to rip our hair out, and that’s why the show is so relatable and so easy to watch.

It Almost Acts Like A Brand New Show

Sure, the series is attempting to pick off almost right where it left off back at the series finale in season 9; However, it was virtually impossible for the creators and producers to continue on the reboot of the series without disregarding how the show ended in the first place. For those that need to catch up, season 9 ended with Dan dying, and other strange happenings that were part of a tell all book that Roseanne wrote. So, when the show came back just a few weeks ago, fans were trying to piece together exactly what has happened in the 20 years since the show left the air waves. Funny enough, the show has been able to do it for the most part successfully, even though there is still some head scratching moments here and there while we attempt to catch up. Either way, we are loving that the show is taking a different direction in order to bring the family back to life, and back into the hearts of America.

Even if you disagree, you can’t deny the amazing ratings that ‘Roseanne’ has received since making its reboot debut back in March. The fans are loving the return of the Conners, and we are hoping that they won’t be leaving any time soon. You can catch up on episodes of ‘Roseanne’ online, and make sure to set your DVR for new episodes of the series airing on ABC Tuesday nights.
