I happen to be celebrating a birthday in about a month and it’s official, I want this detailed miniature Seinfeld apartment. Seriously, how awesome is this? I happen to think that it’s not even close when talking about best sitcoms ever. It’s Seinfeld. How many shows can you watch each episode at least 20 times each and not get tired of them, like ever? How many shows can you watch where you for new opinions of each character and show every single time you watch an episode? Believe it or not it’s been nearly 30 years since the first episode aired and I’m still watching it in syndication.
It also seems that every year more people from younger generations discover the show’s genius and it gets ever more followers. So when I came across this bit of memorabilia today I had to share it with you. Jerry’s apartment is every bit as iconic as the series itself, and now you can bring it home for yourself, albeit in miniature form.
Limited to just 5000 pieces, this 1:26 scale model of the Seinfeld apartment set is incredibly detailed with over 100 unique miniature elements, including the furniture, bicycle on the wall, lighting fixtures and even a working version of Jerry’s front door.
The miniature will be released in June, but if you pre-order before March 1st, the set can be yours for $399.99. OK truth be told this is ridiculously expensive and my wife doesn’t have to buy this but still. It would be pretty awesome to have this. And who knows? Perhaps it’s an investment and will appreciate in value over time?
