Johnny Knoxville is in a Movie Based on the Insanity of Action Park

Johnny Knoxville is at it again as he stars in a movie based on the insanity of an amusement park known as Action Point. This kind of looks like what would happen if you took the Jackass stunts and applied to them a theme park where everyone could come and enjoy the insanity of it. Of course that means that the danger is there as well since in Jackass terms anything goes and nothing is held back. This kind of park would not be for kids or the faint of heart since nothing seems to work right and everything seems like a stunt from the famed show that Knoxville hosted and participated in.

It even looks like Chris Pontius from the show is getting in on the act as well and going back to his same antics, if anyone remembers what one of his specialties was. Really it looks pretty funny since it features the kind of comedy that Knoxville is so well known for, the physical kind, and it looks like something that’s kind of a throwback to his earlier days. The 47-year old actor/stunt performer is taking a page of out of the notorious Action Park that was located in New Jersey and was open for about two decades. The park was responsible for a slew of injuries as well as a few deaths and was finally closed in 1996. It can probably be said with some accuracy that the park was kind of a sore spot for New Jersey, one that only someone without any real qualms would decide to emulate. Knoxville is obviously just the man to do such a thing and has no trouble admitting it.

You can’t blame Knoxville for being who he is really since he’s made a career on being the kind of guy that takes risks and doesn’t worry about offending people all that much when it comes to entertaining. He’ll gladly make people laugh and find the most unconventional ways to do it in the process and this seems to be a continuation of that sentiment. He’s been able to make so many people bust at the seams when it comes to humor that it’s really become his niche. But in this film it’s going to be the kind of humor that might make you feel guilty for laughing since it is based off of a place that was known for the number of injuries that occurred to its guests. Be that as it may you might just laugh anyway since the movie is presented in such a manner that the reaction can’t be helped.

It’s a pretty normal thing to laugh at pain really since the only other reaction, and variations of it, is to be depressed and saddened by something that is usually fleeing and will heal given time. The act of laughing at the misfortune and harm of others is something that requires at least some consideration in real life, but in movies you should be able to laugh at something like this simply because that’s a big part of why it’s being made.
