Five of the Funniest Movie Scenes Starring Owen Wilson

I’ll go ahead and say it, I really think that Owen Wilson is funnier than his brother Luke for one reason, he just looks like a guy that’s made for comedy. He’s done his fair share of dramatic movies and tear-jerkers but his best work has obviously come from being a funny guy and being in movies where the laughs are nonstop and are almost never to be taken seriously. He’s done so much in his career at this point that I feel it necessary to say that while he might not be counted as one of the great comedians, he’s one of the better comedic actors.

I think that came out right.

5. Hall Pass

Married men, not all of them but some, tend to think that if they were single again they could pick up women as easy as they did when they were young. What they don’t seem to realize is that after being married for a good deal of time they tend to lose that thing called the ‘single gene’. Giving a married man a hall pass, allowing him to do whatever he wants for a week, is not just a recipe for disaster, it’s a reminder that he’s lucky to be married.

4. Shanghai Noon

This is what happens when east meets west and neither one knows just what to do with each other. The guys don’t get along at first and for good reason. When Chan goes off in search of a kidnapped princess he keeps bumping into Roy, who just wants to get back to his regular life but can’t seem to do since this determined Chinese guardsman continues to get embroiled in his life somehow.

3. The Internship

Don’t ever say that you can’t teach old dogs new tricks, and that young dogs can’t learn from their elders. Keep in mind just who paved the way for those that see themselves as the future. Of course interning at Google is far different than being an old school salesman, and is likely to get the older generation good and confused just walking in the door. But still, someone had to break ground for the geniuses of the future to do their thing.

2. Zoolander

It’s a kind of in with the new and out with the old when it comes to the modeling scene in this movie. I almost turned it off about five minutes in but I’m glad that I gave this one a chance at least. The second one, not so much. But Wilson and Stiller’s feud in this first movie was a lot of fun to watch since it was so ridiculous that you couldn’t help but laugh at the futility of it all.

1. Wedding Crashers

There are so many funny scenes to pick from in this movie that I decided to go with one that was touching as well as funny. I mean really, who admits that they crashed a funeral looking for women, unless they had a very good reason to do so?

Owen Wilson, that’s who.
