Michaela Conlin has been blessed with a professional acting career that has come with a good amount of stability. For more than a decade, she played Angela Montenegro in the popular series Bones. While some actors who play long-term roles often find themselves getting pigeonholed, that hasn’t been the case for Michaela. Since Bones ended in 2015, Michaela has been working hard to get other opportunities. In 2018, she had a recurring role in the TV series Yellowstone and the momentum didn’t stop there. In 2020 she appeared in the movie Bad Trip and she’s bringing that same energy into 2020. 1. She Comes From A Diverse Background
Michaela was born in raised in Allentown, PA which is located about an hour and 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia. She was born to a Chinese mother and a white father with Irish ancestry. Michaela is very proud of all of the cultures that have come together to make her the person she is.
2. She’s An NYU Alum
From an early age Michaela knew that she wanted to be an actress. After high school, she knew it was time to kick her training into overdrive. She went on to attend New York University’s Tische School of the Arts where she earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in theater.
3. She’s A Private Person
Many people who have been in the spotlight for as long as Michaela has have become very open about their personal lives with the public. Michaela, however, has always been the kind of person who enjoys her privacy. With all of the negativity that can come with letting the world into your life, it’s easy to see why Michaela prefers a more low-key lifestyle.
4. She Isn’t Afraid To Share Her Views
Standing up for the things you believe in is often easier said than done, but Michaela Conlin doesn’t let fear her hold her back from speaking her mind. She is a strong supporter of the fight to end racism and has supported the Black Lives Matter Movement and the movement to end Asian hate.

Despite being relatively private about her personal life, Michaela has always made it clear that she’s a very proud mother. She has one young son named Charlie. However, as far as we know, Michaela has never been married and she has not revealed the identity of her son’s father.

Michaela and Emily Deschanel were cast members on Bones for several years, but their relationship goes beyond simply working together. The two are very close friends in real life, and anyone who has ever gotten the chance to work with a good friend knows how exciting that can be.
7. She Enjoys Being Outdoors
Thanks to a successful career, Michaela spends a lot of time working. But no matter how much a person loves their job, time off to relax and unwind is a must. When Michaela isn’t working, spending time outdoors is one of her favorite things to do. She enjoys walking with her son or going on hikes.
8. She’s Scared Of Scary Movies
There are countless people all over the world who find great entertainment in watching things that scare them. Michaela isn’t one of them, however. In a YouTube video on Queen Latifah’s channel, Michaela confessed that she is afraid of scary movies and doesn’t like watching them. She also confessed that she’s afraid of roaches.
9. She’s A 90s Hip-Hop Fan
Michaela loves listening to old school hip-hop music and some of her favorite artists include Keith Murray, De La Soul, and A Tribe Called Quest. She’s also a firm believer that 90s rap music was better than what has been released in more recent years. During the 90s, Michaela even recorded a hip-hop dance video in a photobooth at a local mall.
10. She Briefly Considered A Career In Another Field
Acting is the only thing Michaela has ever been serious about doing, but there was a time in her life where she briefly though there was something else she might like to do. When Michaela was younger, she fell in love with the movie Jurrasic Park and it inspired her to consider a career in archeology. While being an archeologist may be cool, I think it’s safe to say that Michaela has found her true calling as an actress.
