Metallica’s James Hetfield Will Star in First acting Role in ”Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile”

James Hetfield is going to be starring his first real acting role in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile. The Metallica headman has been in films before but always as himself and never as an actual character fulfilling a role so this is going to be something awesome I feel. It’s going to be interesting to see if he’s got the kind of talent that’s needed for this part or if he’s going to falter at all. My money is on him doing a great job and being someone in the film that you want to see more of. I know Metallica fans, those that watch the movie, will no doubt be psyched to see how he does.

The story is going to be about the notorious killer Ted Bundy and his girlfriend, who never suspected what he was doing until he got caught. Zac Efron will be playing Bundy while Lilly Collins will be playing his girlfriend. James will be playing the part of officer Bob Hayward, the man who first arrested Bundy and guessed right that the tools and other equipment he had in his vehicle were for some other sinister purpose. The interesting part of this is that Hayward came upon Bundy kind of by accident when he took a wrong turn while responding to a call for assistance on his radio. He noticed Bundy’s tan Volkswagon outside of a neighbor’s house. He knew that the neighbors were on vacation but that their teenage daughters were at home.

Bundy fled when he saw the police cruiser approaching, and Hayward finally cornered him in an abandoned gas station. After stating that he was lost and had just come from watching a movie that Hayward knew wasn’t playing, Bundy was questioned at gunpoint and then subjected to a search of his car that turned up the burglary items that got Hayward’s mental gears spinning. He then gave the case over to his brother Pete, who then put the sheriff’s investigators on the case and eventually found Bundy guilty of kidnapping and assault. This sentence came with 15 years for Bundy.

For the most part Ted Bundy, the guy that people knew as a decent person, didn’t allow anyone past that thin veneer of supposed decency, but inside it would seem that his internal wiring was quite messed up. There have been so many stories, articles, blogs, and other pieces written about him though that he’s become something of a legend no matter that he’s considered to be one of the most devious men in the history of the US when it comes to the acts he committed. Had he been allowed to keep going it’s hard to say what the actual body count might have finally come out to. As it is thanks to one wrong turn Bob Hayward managed to bring that number to a halt and take at least one seriously deranged individual out of the mix.

It will be interesting to see how Hetfield portrays Hayward when the movie finally comes out.

No rest for the wicked here as James spent a few of his days between tour dates in front of the camera once again for Academy-award nominated director @joeberlingerfilms as he filmed scenes for Joe's upcoming film “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile.” The movie follows the relationship between notorious serial killer Ted Bundy, played by Zac Efron, and his longtime girlfriend, played by Lily Collins, who at the time, had no knowledge of the crimes. . James will be playing Officer Bob Hayward, a Utah highway patrol veteran who was the first law enforcement officer to arrest Bundy in 1975 after pulling the killer over and discovering burglary tools in his car but wisely suspecting much worse. While James has played himself in other films and television productions, this will be his first dramatic role taking on a different character. . 'Tallica fans all know Joe Berlinger as the director and producer our very own “Some Kind of Monster” along with the late Bruce Sinofsky in 2004. There is not a release date for “Extremely Wicked…” yet, but we'll keep you updated here. And in the meantime, @papa_het_ is back out on the road as we hit the stage in Bologna, Italy tonight. .
