Xavier Woods appeared on Monday Night Raw only days after a tape was leaked that is believed to show him engaged in sexual activity with WWE Diva Paige. It’s also fair to say he was looking somewhat sheepish after the revelation that has shocked the WWE universe. Xavier Woods decided not to talk about the sex tape after being given ‘the look’ by team-mates Kofi Kingston and Big E on WWE Raw last night. He probably made the right decision as are most celebrities by deciding not to say anything and let this whole thing play out.
But as I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, when your entire career is to be in the public eye you have to use a little common sense so that these things don’t happen. This is my message to Paige, Emma Watson, Amanda Seyfried and all you other celebrities whose photos and videos are being exposed. There’s a very simple solution to all of this and here goes:
You have to recognize that you’re a celebrity and that immediately makes you a target. So act accordingly. If you’re taking personal pictures of a gratuitous nature, that’s your right but be smart about it. Use a Kodak type camera. That way you have physical pictures that only you can possess. Know right away that every picture you put on your phone or computer is at risk so those better be pictures you are OK with being public information. That solves your photo problem. Secondly, videos.
Use a video camera. Do NOT use your phone. If you insist on using your phone, upload the videos to your computer, put the videos on a zip drive or memory card and DELETE from your phone and computer. Bingo, videos solved.
I just don’t understand how difficult it is to do these simple steps. If you’re out there reading this celebrities, taking this extra step will help you avoid months of embarrassment. You need to take your celebrity status responsibility seriously. Thanks.
