Marvel TV Brings Luke Cage To Comic-Con 2016

Luke Cage Comic-Con 2016Marvel and Netflix fans that are going to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con will want to get ready to line up for this Marvelous panel. Deadline is reporting that Netflix and Marvel Television are bringing their third series to Comic-Con with Luke Cage which stars The Good Wife’s Mike Colter who made his debut as Power Man in Jessica Jones.

Deadline says that Colter will be present at the San Diego Convention Center next month along with his Luke Cage show-runner Cheo Hodari Coker and his co-star Alfre Woodward who will be playing the baddie Mariah Dillard, a local Harlem politician that happens to be cousins with Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes (played by Mahershala Ali). A sneak preview will be part of the panel, whether it be the first episode or just an extended trailer for the series.

While Deadline didn’t reveal what day or room the panel will be held at, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the show is paired up with Agents of SHIELD as they have shared their Marvel TV hour with other Marvel shows before.

“After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city–forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.”

Marvel’s Luke Cage is set to premiere on Friday, September 30, only on Netflix.
