I Watercolor Brain Scans Of Animals (Part 2)

I collect cross-coronal sections of various animal brains and integrate them with my abstract watercolor paintings. In the process of collecting these neurological shapes and integrating them with my paintings, I hope to suggest the similarities and curious differences between varied mammal species.

I often wonder where my mind would wander if I was not a human animal. Perhaps these animal brains can give us a small glimpse into other animal bodies.

This is part two of my Animal Brains series. I’ve added an additional 20 animal brains to my original series of 16, bringing the number of unique mammal brains to 36. I will display the entire series at The Grand Newsstand in San Francisco on Market Street on Saturday, October 24 from 6pm – 9pm.
