There no question that Tyronn Lue has been trying to keep pace with the Golden State Warriors thus reducing the playing time of one Tristan Thompson. However, his lack of production cannot be ignored. He put up scoring donuts in games 1 and 3 and was outreboudned by Steph Curry in game three and hasn’t grabbed more than 4 rebounds in any game. I don’t care what the circumstances and who your opponent is, if you’re making as much money as Lebron James essentially lobbied for Thompson, to say you are underperforming would be a gross understatement.
Tristan Thompson is invisible in the finals. Truth be told, even if he averaged a double double I don’t think the Cavs would have a chance simply because this Warriors team is way too stacked. But if Thompson is playing better the Cavs make this series 100 times closer. Let’s just call it what it is here as Jalen Rose even alluded to: The Kardashian Curse. Kris Humphries had it. Reggie Bush had it first, and now Thompson has it.
