Unless a director is a larger than life individual and has done something truly wonderful it’s hard to get excited about them most times, but thankfully Lars Klevberg can claim that he’s doing something to bolster his reputation and has been on the rise in the recent past since he’s been seen to do a few things that people have paid attention to. One of those projects, a horror short titled Polaroid, is still in doubt as to whether it will ever become the big deal that some people want it to, but there’s still some hope for it. Apart from this however he has managed to distinguish himself by creating other works that have been noted and one in particular that has divided some fans and at least made others interested in learning more. That after all is a big part of what it takes to get noticed, being able to find something that people want and giving it to them in a way that they won’t forget and might even feel divided over. Now and again it’s good to introduce material that might not be universally loved but at least gets people talking.
Here are a few things about Lars you might not have known.
10. He directed the latest Child’s Play movie.
Some people didn’t want to see this movie made, others were at least interested enough to see what it might be about. I’ll include myself in that last part since I did watch it and to be honest I wasn’t so impressed that I thought it measured up to the first one, but it was a pretty good attempt at bringing the idea of Chucky into the new era without the need for the supernatural. Plus, the idea of a killer doll going on the rampage and being able to ‘infect’ so many other electronic devices is just creepy.
9. His social media presence is still on the rise.
His numbers aren’t the greatest but they’re still proof that people are paying attention and that they do know who he is. It could be that these numbers will jump as he’s given more of a chance as the years continue to roll by.
8. Lars’ net worth is pretty impressive.
This is something that can’t be denied since quite honestly he does have an impressive net worth at $8 million, which is hardly anything to sneeze at. Whether this will go up that much in the years to come remains to be seen but so long as he keeps pumping out movies it doesn’t seem as though it will go down.
7. There’s not a lot of information on the net about his family or personal life.
This could be for the best since when it comes to being famous there are too many people that like to poke and prod at pretty much anything they can when it comes to a person’s private life and at times it can be pretty invasive.
6. He’s in his late 30s.
Lars is at that point in his life where his accomplishments are still very impressive but he has a lot more time left to do something else to really establish his career and his legacy and it might be time to really turn on the gas and get things in gear to make sure people remember who he is.
5. Lars has been a writer as well as a director.
Personally this seems important since if you can do one but not the other then your skill set is kind of incomplete, but if you can direct as well as write then it does seem as though the future becomes a little brighter considering that you have the tools to bring your vision to life, providing you have a crew to work with, and people that are willing to fund it.
4. He came into the business around 2013.
He hasn’t been in the business all that long it sounds like and already he’s getting noticed in this manner, so obviously he’s done something right and has managed to reach a big milestone in his life.
3. Lars earned his bachelor’s degree in filmmaking.
Obviously he knew what he wanted to do and had no trouble in going for it. This is the kind of dedication and drive that one needs to really succeed though and it kind of makes those of us that lacked direction at the earliest stages kind of envious, but also able to admire folks that can follow through on their own designs.
2. At this point his love life is on the down low.
More and more this is what I like seeing with some individuals since whether they’re involved with someone or not it’s really no one’s business until they make it so.
1. It doesn’t sound as though he’s been involved in any big scandals in his career.
This of course is always a big up for any celebrity or anyone of note since the less trouble you get into when the cameras are on you the better.
He’s definitely someone to keep an eye on.
