La Danseuse is an urban performance photography project. I came up with this idea when i first read some Stephan Mallarmè writings about dance. I wanted to show that a dancer doesn’t need any specific place in order to express himself, because a dancer is “the dance” itself, anywhere, anytime.
The project took about 7 months to complete. The performer was a very talented young dancer Esmeralda Astarita.
