Kristin Chenoweth to Star in “Trial and Error” Season 2 for NBC

Last season, NBC premiered one of the most interesting television shows to come along in quite some time. It was called Trial and Error, and the very name automatically makes you think about something along the same lines as Law & Order. However, if that is indeed what you’re thinking, that is not even close to what this show is about.

Instead, the show incorporates its own special mixture of drama and comedy, with both aspects thrown in together in order to create some very uniques plots. This is obviously a difficult task, especially when you consider the fact that drama and comedy are really polar opposites of each other. A lot of people thought that it probably wouldn’t work, but instead the opposite proved to be true. In reality, fans loved the opportunity to watch a show that dealt with a very serious subject, namely a murder suspect, that was at the same time funny. It’s a completely fresh take on your typical crime drama or mystery. It certainly didn’t hurt that during its original season, the crime suspect in question was played by John Lithgow. He has proven to be one of the most prolific actors of his time and he can play virtually any part that is thrown at him. In large part, he made the show as successful as it is today. However, due to the very nature of the show, the second season calls for an entirely new murder suspect to be showcased diring the oncoming season.

If you happen to be worried about someone else trying to fill Lithgow’s shoes, don’t be. The celebrity they have picked for season two is none other than Kristin Chenoweth. She has plenty of acting credits to her name and is an accomplished actress in her own right. As such, she too can play any types of role, ranging from serious to funny and everything in between. During her years as an actress, she has starred in television shows, major motion pictures, and on Broadway. She’s also won a number of awards, one of them for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. You might remember her from the live adaptation of Wicked that was televised some time ago.

Without a doubt, the second season of Trial and Error has a ton of promise. If the writing is as good as it was last season (and there’s no reason to think that it wouldn’t be), you can bet that the story lines paired with Chenoweth’s remarkable talent will provide a whole host of opportunities for solid entertainment.

That’s one of the reasons fans of the show are excited about the upcoming season. Even those that don’t typically like to see the central character change from one season to the next are excited about the possibilities for this next season of episodes. At the present time, NBC hasn’t nailed down an exact premiere date for the show, so fans are anxiously awaiting to know when they can finally sit down and see what the second season of Trial and Error is all about for themselves. Until then, they will simply have to imagine the possibilities and hope that the show lives up to their imaginations when it finally premieres.
