Some people might remember Kim Possible, which was a cartoon centered around a high school student who was also a secret agent. Of course, her name was Kim Possible, while her sidekick’s name was Ron Stoppable. Together, they went up against a wide range of villains, with the most memorable being the mad scientist Dr. Drakken and his sometime henchwoman Shego. The cartoon came to a conclusion some time ago, but Kim Possible had enough of a fan-base that there are plenty of people out there who have been hoping for a revival. Now, it seems that said individuals will have their wish, though chances are good that the revival won’t be anything like what they were expecting.
In short, since Kim Possible was a cartoon, most people would have expected an animated movie of some sort, which would have been useful as a way of gauging interest in the franchise. Something that could have served as a test to see whether there was sufficient interest to sustain something more. Instead, the Kim Possible franchise will be getting revived via a live-action movie, which wasn’t what anyone had been expecting.
The Stars Have Been Chosen For the Kim Possible Movie
So far, it seems clear that progress is being made on the live-action Kim Possible movie at a steady rate. After all, the production has now reached the point that the cast members for both Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable have been chosen, with one being Sadie Stanley and the other being Sean Giambrone. It is interesting to note that the audition for the role of Kim Possible was Stanley’s first role, though the people at Disney have voiced plenty of confidence that she will be able to play the part to perfection. Likewise, the people at Disney have stated that Giambrone possesses the right mixture of heart and comedic talent to bring his character to the movie screen.
Besides this, there are some other pieces of information that might interest Kim Possible fans as well. For example, it has been confirmed that the series creators Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley will be the ones writing the script, which should come as welcome news to those who have been concerned about the live-action movie failing to live up to their expectations. Furthermore, the co-directors will be a team-up between Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky, which should give those same people a place to start if they are interested in researching exactly what they can expect from the live-action movie.
Regardless, the fact that the cast members for the two most important characters make it clear that the live-action Kim Possible movie is on its way. However, whether it will manage to live up to its predecessor or not remains to be seen, though in this case as in other cases, time reveals all things. As a result, interested individuals need do nothing but wait for the live-action movie to approach release in order to get a better idea of its quality.
