Justice League: Jon Manganiello Reveals Early Deathstroke Armor

The hype is continuing to grow for the new Justice League movie and Joe Manganiello just added a little bit of fuel to the fire.  In a recent Instagram post, the actor revealed some early photos of villain Deathstroke.  It’s been said that along with the Joker or Catwoman with regard to Batman’s foes, Deathstroke is one of the finest villains.   The character has made appearances in comics and video games,  but has yet to appear on the big screen.  It’s been said he’ll first make an appearance in the Justice League movie before standing out on his own in a likely Ben Affleck starred Batman movie.

Here’s the photo that Joe Manganiello teased the public with.

The armor here appears to follow much of Deathstroke’s classic look from comics and video games.   However the mask had been modernized much like other costumes have been in the DC Universe for the big screen.   While we don’t know if this is the final version of the costume for the movie, it’s certainly piqued the interest of fans.   The photo has already generated hundreds of comments and thousands of likes as of Thursday.   For those who are unfamiliar with Deathstroke, Tripped Media gave this description:

In the DC Universe, Deathstroke is Slade Wilson, a mercenary and assassin originally appearing as a nemesis of the Teen Titans. Since then, he’s been picked up as rivals of various superheroes of the Justice League, including Batman. Much like the Caped Crusader, Deathstroke doesn’t possess any supernatural powers. He does make up for it, however, with physical prowess, fighting ability, and a deadly arsenal of weapons.

It should be excited to see this character come to life in cinema.
