The ongoing saga surrounding Jeremy Piven’s behavior continues as three more women have come forward accusing him of sexual misconduct. One woman has requested to remain anonymous. All three accusers claim that the actor has made sexual advances towards them and that these advances have been of an aggressive nature. One claims he forced her against the wall and onto a couch, while another has claimed he indecently exposed himself to her at her Los Angeles home. This followed a consensual encounter that then became aggressive. The three alleged incidents are all historical and date back to between 1985 and 1996.
In response to these allegations, Piven made a public statement and strongly denies all the claims made against him. He referred back to the first allegations against him that first became public in November 2017. At that time, he voluntarily took a polygraph test to clear his name. The questions related to whether he had ever used force to have sex with a woman. His response to this was ‘no’ and the test showed he was telling the truth. The actor willingly gave the results to BuzzFeed when giving his statement.
The actor said in his statement that the accusations go back as far as 30 years, but they are all false. He claims that the lie detector test he took is proof of his innocence. He went to deny that he had ever forced himself on anyone, exposed himself, or restrained someone against their will. He claims that if someone asked him to stop, he would stop.
The first woman to recently make an allegation is Susan McCain Olson who is 51. She says that the incident took place in 1985 on the set of Lucas’ and she was 17 at the time of the alleged incident. Her version of events describes how she was on the set working as an extra. It was the holidays between her junior and senior years at high school. McCain Olson had gone into someone’s trailer to find something and Piven followed her.
In her account, McCain Olson went on to describe how Piven had then forced her onto the couch and kissed her while attempting to feel down her shorts and up her shirt. Although she escaped, the incident left her shaken. He did not speak to her again even though they saw each other on set. There are four other people who were already aware of the incident.
The anonymous accuser has described an incident that took place in 1994. She had met Piven at the hair salon where she worked and arranged to meet with him again. As he wasn’t ready on her arrival at his hotel, she was sent up to his room. In the hotel room, she claims that Jeremy Piven forced her against the wall before trying to kiss her forcefully. She pushed him away and asked why he had done it. He claimed he thought that was the reason she had gone to the room.
Diane Gonzalez is the third person to have come forward with an accusation and this relates to an alleged incident she claims took place in 1996. She says it happened while she was an extra on ‘Ellen’. The actor was playing Spence Kovak, the cousin of Ellen DeGeneres. Jeremy Piven invited Diane Gonzalez out with other members of the cast and crew. After the drinks, he invited her back to his house and then kissed her on the way to the car. Although Gonzalez was surprised, she went with the flow.
On arriving back at his house, he then exposed his penis and started to kiss her before carrying her into the bedroom. It was then that he started to become aggressive, according to Gonzalez. She didn’t know how to react but asked him to stop and tried to push him away. He started to unbutton her pants, and it was at this point that she finally escaped and said she had to leave.
All three of the women have explained that they have decided to come forward now after reading about the other sexual misconduct claims made against Piven.
