If you’re planning on a trip to Japan in the year 2020 then there’s a theme park you’re 100% going to want to check out. Construction has officially began on a Super Nintendo World theme park that is set to open at Universal Studios. This past Thursday a preview ceremony was held at the site of the park and a few photos have been released. The park will rely heavily on its superstar — Super Mario, who’s getting a realistic Mario land set in the park, which will feature the decorations and rides filled with the beloved Nintendo characters.
“Guests will enter a world of excitement where they will feel as if they are playing inside their favorite Nintendo games,” Nintendo’s press release states. “The creative visionaries behind Nintendo’s legendary worlds and characters are working together with the creative teams behind Universal’s blockbuster theme park attractions.”
