So we here in the U.S. have National Geographic, Discovery Channel, and Animal Planet to cover the majority of our “really awesome shows about animals” genre. But after watching last night’s Planet Earth II from the BBC, we now have our work cut out for us. In a behind the scenes look at Iguana vs. Snakes, viewers had the opportunity to see something no one’s ever gotten to see on camera. It was almost unreal.
The Planet Earth II crew was filming hatchling marine iguanas when something happened that’s never been captured on film before. All of a sudden a huge group of snakes attack the poor little guy. It was the first time in history that snakes were filmed hunting en masse.
However, it’s not a team effort like one might think. Every snake is out to fend for themselves on this one little iguana. I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever felt bad for an Iguana until I watched this clip. Enjoy (or don’t enjoy) this, it’s insane.
