I Spent The 3 Last Years Making Refugees Portraits To Spread A Message

young artist of 26 years, I spent the last 3 years of my life painting portraits of refugees.

I painted and drew more than 30 works on this theme: The reality of refugees, trying to represent all countries and situations.

This reality, so remote from ours, seems almost irrational, and this is mainly due to the lack of information we receive, reduced to a few lines in our newspapers.

touched by the emotionally charged stories and life-paths of these people, so often reduced to a single word, “refugees”,

I felt compelled to pay tribute to them.

Faceted by their expressions, their eyes seeming to starve at me with this mixture of terror and resignation, those horrible and heart breaking siuation the live truth…

These images, engraved in me, made me want to fight for them, for these humans who deserve to live happy like us, we who were lucky enough to be born here.

Everybody deserve a pice of hope and freedom.

That’s how I came up with the idea of creating this cultural art project, so as to raise public awareness through art, to make the human more human.
