I am a designer from New Delhi, and a long time pop culture enthusiast. I also make fan arts and stuff as hobby. When I saw the trailer of “Batman:Ninja”, I immediately thought how cool it would be to have the Batman and his rogues in an ancient Indian setting. Indian mythology is full of Gods and kings but the thing which appeals to me the most is the fact that a lot of the stories are about ordinary human beings who get a blessing or boon and tries to become god. For me, Gotham is a place where ordinary human beings are trying to be extraordinary (whether good or bad). I started out sketching with this vision and finally drew these characters. I have a lot of half baked ideas still in my sketchbook. Maybe I’ll finish them up and add them to the roster.
