I Call It America Noir, The Dark Side Of The American Dream

This is America you won’t see in the travel brochures. These black and white photos are of real people and places that have been around, have taken a few hits, been bashed and battered and bruised… but are still fighting, still looking for the main chance, still hopeful of the American Dream somehow.

It seems the republic is taking a turn to the dark side these days. The majority of Americans think the country is headed in the wrong direction. The voices of freedom are in retreat.

Yet as an artist simply responding to the present moment, one finds among the suffering both beauty and courage. Photography art is my passion. I aim to use light to create a bit of enlightenment in these dark images showing real life.
