Only yesterday Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. But another man by the name of Frank Underwood appears to be planning ahead. On the same day as the inauguration, Netflix released a teaser trailer for season 5 of their hit show House of Cards. While we’ll have to wait until May 30th for Kevin Spacey to return to the screen as Underwood, this little teaser gives us a glimpse of what the show has in store for us.
While the teaser itself doesn’t say “bring the terror,” the show’s Twitter account literally has a caption reading “We bring the terror.” As you’ll see in the teaser, there’s an American flag waving and children are reciting the pledge of allegiance. When asked about what “We bring the terror” means Netflix of course stayed mum saying “We Couldn’t possibly comment.”
Given how many leaks will more than likely come out between now and May, it’s perfectly understandable for Netflix to keep everything close to the vest. However, if Spacey character is any indication, bringing the terror most certainly doesn’t have to mean terrorism itself. As we all know, Underwood takes any, and we mean any measure necessary to ensure his political power. He’s certainly not going to slow down now.
The show has won six Emmy Awards and season 5 is already shaping up to be an Emmy winner. Check out the teaser below:
