It didn’t. A relationship ending doesn’t mean failure. I loved them, they loved me, we both grew, we moved on… Young love & relationships are the perfect opportunity to learn more about yourself, the world and relationships in general. If you grew, you succeeded, not failed. My first love and I were friends for years after we broke up – time and space eventually divided us for good – and we both went on to find love elsewhere. I’d say that’s the definition of success.
