well I wasn’t exactly homophobic but I was raised as a christian, anyways I found a verse saying (John 13:34) “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” that made me see that even though they (maybe you) are different, I shouldn’t treat them any different. we are all people in the end, with different beliefs and views we shouldn’t treat each other different even if they are.

I was raised Christian thought people who were LGTBQ+ was weird most of my life. Then I started meeting new people and removing the bias my parents and raised me to see life through and now have many LGTBQ+ friends who I love support and protect almost more then my other friends because they are often targets of mean comments or actions.

I’m not sure I would have classified myself as homophobic but I was raised Mormon and they are very anti-gay. It wasn’t long after I stopped believing in god that I stopped caring about how other people live their lives. As long as it isn’t hurting me I could care less what kind of genitals you prefer. I also don’t care what you identify as but if you look typically male or female I will call you that unless you tell me you prefer another label.
