I have been following Bored Panda for the last 10 years, maybe. Has it evolved, or does it indulge in the same innocent content as it used to?

It seems to have a much larger anout of celebrity b******t than it used to. Still very little original content, mostly still copied from reddit, ebaum or other places, but at least it gives a hint as to what’s on them without actually needing to go there, a reminder, if one were needed, not to create accounts or log ont those places.

To put it quite simply? Yes. The whole “premium” thing was implemented in a slap dash way which has caused more frustration, than anything. Such as having to pay premium to read the remainder of an article, or this new thing to see how you match up when compared to others on some of the test/poll posts. Beyond that? The quality of writing has really gone down the drain. There was a time when repeat posts were actually kinda rare. Sure, it happened, but BP tended to weed them out pretty quickly. Now however, it’s more common to see something that was featured in a previous article, repeated again… and again… and again… and again.

I appreciate the curated articles from reddit, etc. I don’t appreciate the censorship, or the half-dozen popups on every page.

I can understand having the paid for features to help with hosting costs and such but the way it was introduced was just dumb. There should be a post for big site updates. The censorship of words is also totally overboard. Staring out swear words is one thing but starring out words like c**p etc is silly. Saying that I do love the site and the other pandas are great.

I think I’ve only been on here about a year. In the past few months I’ve mostly noticed complaints. Lots of complaints. Seriously, most of the comments on every story are bah humbug. Also, insane censoring. Is it AI or a dried up prude? To me most of the stuff is new because I don’t go to Reddit or ick-tock.
