Here’s What the Cast of Lost is Up To in 2019

Lost Tv Show Cast Photo

I don’t know which characters were your favorites on Lost, but I’ll be tracking the most fan favorites from the phenomenal series published by ABC. The series, which lasted a whole six seasons, was mind-bending, surreal and vastly popular. Fans are still confused and shaken by how it ended, and about five years later, we are wondering where our favorite cast went. Well, some have kept pretty low-key, while some have given us a little taste of a reunion by featuring in other films. Since lost took us through intimate moments of its characters’ lives by exploring their present, past and future while on a desolate island, it is easy to feel like we miss the characters. We can never get them back, we certainly can tell you what some of the most prominent cast members are onto presently.

1. Michael Emerson as Ben Linus

Many loved to hate this character, but his weaseled demeanor always reflected some of our innermost nuances. Well, it takes sheer wit to deliver such a character with the accuracy and humor that Michael did back then. True to his wide range of acting skills, this actor has landed some pretty big roles on explosive films such as Batman: The Dark Knight in which he voiced the despicable Joker. However, he was even more successful for landing and absolutely killing it in his role on the Person of Interest. He also featured on Parenthood.

2. Jorge Garcia as Hugo Reyes

Jorge Garcia is phenomenal at roles which depict absolutely satirical, ironical and paradoxical characters. Do you remember Hurley? He was a lottery winner, but he had the worst luck on the planet. Even on Lost’s island, he didn’t have an easy time with luck. Well, as ironical as it may sound, this actor has been way luckier than his fellow Lost cast members. He is doing quite well in his acting career and has landed impressive roles on pretty big films. For example, his most notable acting role since Lost is his regular appearances on the iconic Hawaii Five-O series. He also made memorable appearances on BoJack Horseman as well as the recently concluded and widely followed ‘How I Met Your Mother.’ He is not making a stop there just yet; he has also landed impressive roles on the following yet to premiere films:

  • When We Were Pirates
  • Running Out of Time

3. Daniel Dae Kim as Jin Kwon

Who else than Daniel Dae Kim to give us some Lost nostalgia by starring in the Hawaii Five-O series alongside lovable Jorge “Hurley?” This iconic actor left Hawaii Five-O early in the series citing racially-based differences in his paychecks. Kim has always assumed headstrong roles, and he has been successful in the last five years. He has performed exceptionally in difficult roles such as the ones he landed on ‘Hellboy’ and ‘The Legend of Korra’. This actor’s career is so successful that he even produced “The Good Doctor”.

4. Yunjin Kim as Sun Kwon

This beautiful actress bestowed grace on her character Sun when acting for Lost. Since then, she hasn’t landed as big roles in front of cameras compared to her Lost cast counterparts. Still, we miss her graciousness and we’d like to know about her whereabouts. Well, if you play the Sleeping Dogs game, you will come across her soft but commanding voice. You can also watch ABC’s Mistresses to see her once again. However, you are likely to see the most of her, after leaving Lost, on Korean TV where she has starred in Heartbeat, House of the Disappeared and Ode to My Father. It seems that her strongest acting attributes make her attractive to roles in drama series.

5. Evangeline Lilly as Kate Austen

Do you remember this damsel in distress? Evangeline was probably the only character who was fortunate to be in the fateful plane crash that marooned the entire cast on that island. Kate played Lilly so convincingly that some fans actually thought it was better to be lost than imprisoned. Kate didn’t fade into acting oblivion like some of the Lost cast members that we couldn’t trace. She went on to become an iconic figure for action-packed female actors. She has starred in notable films such as The Hobbit movies. She also made impressive performances in her role on Real Steal. If you are really looking forward to seeing her act again, make that you watch Ant-Man to see her Hope Van Dyne character.

6. Josh Holloway as James Ford “Sawyer”

Josh played a pretty loud and abrasive character on Lost who always had his ways through cunning and conniving means. This guy is such a great and versatile character, and you’d be surprised to learn of the big movie roles he’s landed and aced since Lost. He has starred on “Colony” as a pretty noble family man. He has also starred on the iconic Mission: Impossible movies including Sabotage, Paranoia, and Ghost Protocol. This guy is quite something else; he always supersedes expectations and is set to be on TV for longer than we all expected.  Holloway was recently cast in the TV show “Yellowstone.”

7. Matthew Fox as Jack Shepard

Of all the prominent characters on the Lost, we all thought that Jack Shepard would land the biggest Hollywood roles, right? Well, even though Mathew Fox has made, and will make, appearances on some popular shows, he is predominantly an off-the-camera pilot now. The producers of Lost must have known about his phenomenal flying skills, and that must have been the reason they trusted him with the role of leading other people on that desolate Island. As for his acting career, he did feature on Alex Cross and World War Z. I know fans must have missed his acting skills so badly that they’ll be glad to hear that he’ll be starring in the upcoming Bone Tomahawk.
