If you’re sitting there thinking to yourself, “come on, I knew his name was Colm Feore” then I would respond with, “you’re 100% lying.” I first saw Colm Feore in the 1988 movie Iron Eagle II. It was a sequel to the earlier 80s classic and happened to be a horrible movie. In that film they try to have US and Russian pilots get along and have a mission together, blah blah. But one character who stood out to me was Yuri Lebanov, played by none other than Colm Feore. I always liked his Yuri portrayal.
But here’s the weird thing. I hadn’t seen seen Feore in another movie or television show until 1999 when I saw The Insider. He only had a brief part in that movie as an attorney named Richard Scruggs. He had a thick Southern accent and I remember not being able to place him until finally I literally screamed out “Yuri!” After 1999 I was always on the lookout for Colm. As it turns out this guy is a TV pro. 144 acting credits to his name and he’s actually joining a new show as we speak.
FOX is doing a “Behind Enemy Lines” report and Feore just signed on along with Nestor Carbonell. Anyway, this is a shout to Colm, who by the way isn’t Russian (he’s from Boston0. I know you who you are and I appreciate all the amazing work you’ve done on screen.
Thanks. P.S. Here’s Colm as Yuri.
And here’s Colm doing a little Shakespeare
