The Hoffman, Beets and Schnable crews lead another episode of Gold Rush tonight entitled “Double Trouble” which can’t be good can it? Tony and Gene arrive for the next stage of Tony’s grand plan. They bring in the heavy equipment to take his second dredge apart. After a 15 hour journey up the Ukon the hired barge has made it to the nearest drop off point. Gene seems to be freaking out a bit because the dredge is 8 miles away and he doesn’t have the greatest equipment to get them there.
The 47 ton loader and crane which are capable of lifting 40,000 lbs will be the key to dismantling the 70-year-old dredge. Thistle creek is about to see some serious commotion. The crane lifts an 8×6 dumpster into place. Tony needs to remove all the superficial structure before he can get into lifting the key components.
The crane is key for the crew to remove all of the stuff they need to get rid of. But as you’ll see the loads just keep on coming and they realize it’s going to take a much longer time than anticipated.
