The first official trailer for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life has arrived, and if you’re a Gilmore Girls fan who is counting down the days, minutes, and seconds until the show’s revival on Netflix, you’ll be quite pleased with the two minute-plus video. The trailer not only gives us plenty of the Gilmore girls, with Lorelai, Rory, and Emily taking center stage, but it also welcomes us back to Stars Hollow with shots and scenes of all our favorite characters.
Throughout the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Trailer, familiar faces constantly appear, whether it’s Jared Padalecki’s Dean (who we only catch a brief glimpse of in a quick shot near the end of the trailer), Melissa McCarthy’s Sookie (who also appears in a quick shot, which shows us that she’s still very much a chef), Milo Ventimiglia’s Jess (who we get to both see and hear as he sits down for what looks like coffee with Rory), or even Sean Gunn’s Kirk (who somehow ends up at a Friday Night dinner with Lorelai and Emily). And speaking of Friday Night dinners, the one member that will be missing from them, Ed Hermann’s Richard, is still very much present in this trailer, whether it’s through a quick but emotional look at his funeral or Lorelai and Rory’s response to a portrait of him taking up an entire wall in Emily’s dining room.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will be made up of four, 90-minute episodes, and it all debuts on Netflix in exactly one month on November 25. Check out the trailer below:
