General Hospital’s Best Male Character Transformations

General Hospital’s Best Male Character Transformations

General Hospital fans know which women have had the biggest character transformations over the past few years, but what about the men? Are they as crazy as the women, or are they really just having the time of their lives making some big decisions and making it known that they have a lot to do and a lot riding on what they are offering? We aren’t entirely certain that they can make the biggest and best decisions in their lives, but sometimes the men are just a little bit more unsure of who they are than the women, and that really makes us wonder what is going on. Is there a chance some of these men might just be a little more insane? Here are our favorite changes.

Jason Morgan

First and foremost, he was the star child in the Quartermaine family. Remember when he was the perfect young man? He was a good athlete, a great student, a good friend, a good brother, a good son. He was going to be a doctor like his father. He was going to help people and change the world. He was the best person you could ever even hope to know in your life, and he was the kind of man you wanted to spend more time getting to know. He was actual perfection, and people loved everything about him. And then he was in an accident. His brother was drunk and it was a mess. He was in a coma. He woke up. He lost people he loved. Things didn’t work out well for him. He was a just upset and unhappy and everything was a mess.
And then he changed. He became Jason Morgan, mob personality. He killed. He tortured. He did horrible things for people and to people, and he was never the same. He was a man who didn’t do much other than hurt people, and he befriended the unfriendly Sonny Corinthos. His life of crime kept him in all kinds of trouble for many years. And he didn’t have any memories of being the other Jason. He had some vague memories of his grandmother and another very important woman in his life, but that was it. It was horrible.

Jason Morgan

No, this is not a typo. We are going there again. There was that one time when he died and everyone thought he was missing. And then suddenly he was back and he was a person who had no idea who he was. He had a new face and all of that, and then blood tests showed he was Jason Morgan. And he was himself for a long time. He found his wife. He found his kids. He made himself very happy again with his life, and it was almost as if he was not missing and presumed dead for several years. But then something happened that would transform him forever — literally — into Drew.

It turns out he was not Jason, after all. Jason was still wherever he was with whomever took him being treated like whatever while his twin (the one he didn’t even know he had) was living his life. He had all his brother’s memories. He was living and loving his life as Jason without any indication he was not Jason. He had no idea. He still, to this current day, has very little to go on regarding his identity and past as Drew. He lived that life until Jason actually showed back up and tried to set the record straight.

Few people believed Jason when he returned. Even his own wife didn’t believe it and she stood by Drew. She divorced Jason, married Drew, and all fell apart after that. She can’t just be with a man who isn’t Jason, and we all know it. But this one goes down as the biggest character transformation of all the men because he was Jason and then he was not — and he didn’t even know. That’s what makes this so incredible to us. He just didn’t even know he was not the man he lived as for so many years. He was Drew. It’s just not something you can overlook as being a big transformation.
