General Hospital fans cannot help but wonder how right we were about Maxie and Nina. They made up, but they are already plotting against one another and working on a new fight. We’ve seen that Maxie has gone out of her way to ambush Nina with something that she feels cannot wait. Nina is not in a good place right now, and she’s not making wise decisions. She’s still hurt that her husband had any role in the death of her brother, mad that Maxie seems to have become so close to another man, and upset that her life is what it is.
She’s not had it easy, but she also doesn’t really go out of her own way to make it easier on herself. She’s got a lot of issues and she’s so unresolved with so many of them. We can’t help but wonder if there is anything that she is able to do and accomplish without trying to make her own life worse.
Right now she and Maxie should be working together to figure things out and move on together, but that doesn’t seem to make a big difference in either of their lives. They cannot not — and never have — been able to put aside their differences long enough to realize they are actually on the same team. It’s a tragic situation for both of them, and it’s one that they don’t seem to realize is a problem in their lives. They just move on and continue this.
