On a brand new General Hospital, we see that the Quartermaines are going to learn more about ELQ than they knew in the past. Jason is going to have to break some news to them that they might not like, and we have a bit of suspicion that they are not going to like what they hear. It’s a valid point, though, as they are a family that likes power, control and to have everything they want at their disposal at all times. When they don’t, they are not happy and that’s typically when things begin to unwind for the family.
We also learn that Laura is still searching for answers. She still has no idea what it is that Helena wanted her to learn with her mysterious inheritance, but she has a number of ideas of what it might be. With each passing day, she becomes more and more desperate to find out what is going on and how she can fix things in her own life as a way of finding out. Will the answers she finds lead her where she wants to go? We see on Thursday that some of the answers she finds will lead her in a surprising direction; it’s not a place she ever thought she might find herself. Dare she hope for the outcome she’s wanting, or is there something more sinister waiting for her when she finally realizes what it is that Helena wanted her to know?
Sonny is alive and well, and his confrontation with Carlos has not changed him at all. Just when someone begins to think that he might be willing to change and to stop with the games and the power trip and stop hurting others, he goes out of his way to make sure that does now happen. Now he is working with Anna and Morgan to find out a few things that might make them feel as if they are in a place they never expected. Sonny and Anna know they are hypocrites, but being called out on that might change a few things in Port Charles that these two never thought might change in their lives.
