General Hospital fans cannot believe that this is the very last Sunday of the month. How many of you will spend next Sunday doing all the fall decorating? I know I will, and that’s because it’s my favorite season, my favorite time of year, and it’s officially fall in Florida on September first. I get to say that because fall doesn’t actually occur here — ever — so we make that up on our own time. On that note, though, it’s time to figure out what we want to see from the rest of the year in Port Charles, and we want to put that out there and see things work out for the best. Here’s what we’d like to see happen as the year draws to a quick close. Do you agree?
Michael is Reunited with His Baby
We need this. While we want to see Shiloh go down for good and Willow find some peace in her own life, we want to see something else a bit more. We want to see Michael get his baby back. It’s been far too long. It’s been ugly. It’s been bad. It’s been a situation we cannot control. We want to see things happy and good. And we do want to see them all find what they are looking for in life. They have to figure things out on their own, of course, but we want to see this baby come into his life and him know that it is his baby. This family needs this kind of happy occurrence right now, and this is the best time. It has to happen this year. We know it, and we want it.
Carly Births a Healthy Baby
The one thing we don’t see happening but do wish would happen — this is the world of daytime television, after all — is Carly give birth. She’s had a long, hard, difficult, heartbreaking pregnancy with this baby so far, and we want that to end for her. We want to see her doctors end up all kinds of wrong about what they think is going on with her. We don’t want to see her baby with such a horrible health condition upon birth. We want to see her give birth and find out that through some beautiful miracle, her baby is perfectly healthy, just fine, and wonderful. We have said this before, but this is one family who does need a break more than anything else in the world.
Drew Finds Peace
We don’t know if we want to see him get his memories back. They don’t seem to be doing well with Franco as he lives them. While we are certainly dying to know what he is dealing with, how this is working for him, and what is going on with his life, we also want to see this man find peace. What he’s been through the past year is not something that anyone could ever find easy, but we do know he is so curious about his life. It is his life, but we think that his current personality is so good compared to what we think we might get from his old one. Perhaps we can see him find the peace he wants without getting back any of the ugly we suspect he lived with for so long.
Franco Gets his Own Mind Back
Okay, it’s hard to watch him here. He’s having the worst time ever, and we get it. We know that he is a man who looks so hard to find the answers he needs in life, but he also needs to find things working in his favor. There is nothing that he can do now, though, and he is living a nightmare. The biggest part of his life issue right now is that he is living with Drew’s memories, and they may not be the very best. At this specific moment in time, we have far more questions than answers about any of this, but this is what we are dealing with. They have to figure this out, and he needs his own mind back. Liz needs her husband back. We all need to see Franco get his own memories back.
