General Hospital fans are all wondering about a few things. For one, we know that there is a lot happening around here on a regular basis no matter how hard we all try to pretend it is not happening around here. We know that things take a toll on everyone all the time, but what happens when things start to spiral out of control? The bad guy does not always win around here, but we do know that he sometimes gets his way more often than not. And this is why we don’t love to see people die, people go away, and people make big changes. We always wonder if they are really gone or if they will eventually be back, and we feel that most of these situations involve them coming right back. This year is one that has already brought back a few faces (Ryan, anyone?) and we wonder how many more will come back from the dead?
Helena Cassadine
We think that there are a few things turning us this direction. For one, it’s been a while since she’s been around. Additionally, we think that there is a lot happening that may or may not have anything to do with anything else. We are certain that there are a lot of things happening around here we cannot pinpoint at the moment, but they seem to fall back into her life and her ways. Drew is our main evidence that there is something happening here that might make a difference. We think there is a good chance that his lack of answers and his lack of clarity mean something that is related to Helena. She’s got what he needs, and that means she might just be back. There’s a good chance we will see her return, but that’s not set in stone.
Nikolas Cassadine
The man who plays Nikolas, Tyler Christopher, is gone from his other job. He was working on being a villain on Days of Our Lives the past few months, but he left. Interestingly enough, though, the character was not gone. The character was simply recast. You don’t just take a job for a character that is short-lived and then recast it when the original actor decides to leave. It makes us wonder if there is a chance that he was meant to stay there and then General Hospital offered him something a bit more lucrative, like the idea of coming back to the role he had for so many years. The role he created. The role he perfected. The role he owns. We wonder if that is a situation he has worked out in his own mind and of his own accord, and we wonder if he can focus on getting that right. Is there a chance he can? Is there a chance he is coming back and bringing the heat and the drama and the story lines we are all missing so much since he took off? We don’t know for certain, but we suspect he might do just that.
Cesar Faison
Here’s the deal. We saw him die with our own eyes, but that also means nothing in the grand scheme of daytime television life. We know that it means nothing, that it is nothing, and that anything can happen. We know that there is so much more that could be used to explain away the ‘death’ he faced, and we think that if Helena Cassadine returns, he has to return. There is no way in the world that she can return without her right hand man, and we suspect they have always been keeping some big, ugly secrets from us. We know that there is a lot they can contribute their feelings to, and we hope that they can focus on things that are a bit friendlier and more open than what we are seeing right now. Is there a chance we can see this happen? Is he coming back? Could he come back? And would he come back if Helena came back as her right hand or as someone who wants to get back at her after all that happened to him? We don’t know, but there is a chance it could be a lot.
