Yesterday we got a glimpse of NFL players reading mean tweets on Jimmy Kimmel Live but it was only a 30 second preview clip. The show has released the full version on Youtube just in case you weren’t up last night to watch it live. When we first showed you the preview it involved J.J. Watt, Russell Wilson, and Tony Romo. However, the full two minute clip digs a lot deeper and not only involves current NFL players but also retired legends like Michael Irvin.
Let’s face it folks. Sports fans are a passionate breed. Many are not afraid to cheer and they certainly won’t shy away from criticism either. Well, at least from their home computers. To celebrate the Super Bowl Jimmy Kimmel Live has done it again in their second-ever all NFL edition of Mean Tweets featuring Odell Beckham Jr., J.J. Watt, DeMarco Murray, Michael Irvin, Tony Romo, Kurt Warner, Terrell Davis, Russell Wilson, Von Miller, Joey Bosa, Maurice Jones-Drew, DeMarcus Ware, Josh Norman and Rob Gronkowski.
As you can probably imagine, Gronk’s was incredible just because he’s Gronk. Michael Irvin’s face up top is priceless. And I still think J.J. Watt was legitimately upset at being called a huge Macklemore.
