Yes this is a man you’re looking at, and no that’s meant in any derogatory manner. I was convinced that Vice would turn out to be female or perhaps transgender or something. But nope, he’s one hundred percent male and openly homosexual in a very positive manner. Unfortunately that’s where the positive note ends since his comedy has a lot to do with making fun of people and their status in a very sarcastic manner. Americans have grown used to this type of humor and tend to let it go unless it’s directed at them, but in the Philippines Vice has found that not everyone appreciates his style.
But it is distinct in that it’s his own, which means that no one else can claim to be like him.
5. He’s the youngest of five kids.
Being that his father was killed when Vice was still very young and their mother had to care for five children it would often happen that she would leave them at home in order to work abroad as a caregiver. This couldn’t have been easy at all and could have had a role in why Vice became as sarcastic as he now is. It could very well be a defense mechanism that he’s made work for him.
4. He started out as a singer.
In the Philippines he’s become a very popular recording artist and movie star. It’s easy to see that few if any people in America know that much about him since he tends to remain in his homeland a lot and doesn’t tend to venture out. But in his own back yard Vice is something special. Maybe there’s a reason he hasn’t ventured any further west yet.
3. He was called out for being inappropriate in his act.
He actually put a joke about gang rape into his act and started naming prominent stars in the Philippines and naturally it offended someone. He defended his stance on the issue for a while but eventually made an apology to those that had been offended. There’s a fine line in comedy that you don’t necessarily have to cross but can skirt if you’re that good.
2. He’s now a stand-up comedian.
Vice is the type of comedian that will seek to flay a person from stem to stern with words and use them in the best way possible to insure that there can be no commentary on what was just said. He’s a funny comedian and quite successful in his home, though at times he does tend to take things a bit too far and runs the risk of offending people.

If you haven’t figured it out yet the Philippines are this star’s playground when it comes to plying his skills as a singer, comedian, and actor. He’s got a pretty big following in the Philippines and fully enjoys his time in the spotlight since it allows him to speak his mind and push forth whatever it is he has to say.
